Our story

Annie’s Quilt Shoppe has been serving the Shelton, WA area since 2009, offering quilting classes, sewing classes, fabric, sewing machines, and notions. Annie and Janice are the amazing owners of Annie’s Quilt Shoppe, and has brought the shop to where it is today! We’ve since moved from downtown Shelton on W Railroad Ave, to our new and expanded shop on 2505 Olympic Hwy N! We offer over 7,000 square footage of sewing and quilting goodness, and are so proud of our employees passion and expertise in the craft!

In late 2020, Annie and her husband, Ron, opened the Riptide Retreat, a absolute haven for crafters and quilters alike. Their waterfront retreat home offers an expansive great room equipped with in-floor outlets, custom built cutting tables, and enough crafting or sewing tables for up to 10 people! Plus, the view is absolutely gorgeous! Only 20 minutes from Annie’s (and the Urbanized Shelton Area), the Riptide Retreat is in the perfect spot to plan a relaxing getaway while still being within range of food, activities, and shopping!

Our Vision

We decided to create the Cozy Coastal Crafter to share our quilting and crafting knowledge with a wider audience! We also wanted to offer inspiration on things to do in our beautiful home state of Washington, and inspiration on relaxing things to do (or make) at the Riptide and at home, since isn’t that what hobbies are for? A way to relax and get away from the complicated intricacies of life?
